Multiple commercial teams operate within the Gomibo Group, each focusing on partnerships within their own specific domain. As a Commercial Marketing Trainee, you represent the Gomibo Group both domestically and abroad, and you are responsible for managing commercial partnerships.

The partnerships you will be responsible for are determined together, based on your interests and skills. By utilizing your strengths and developing your relationship management skills, commercial mindset, and powers of persuasion, you will translate Gomibo's international vision into concrete objectives and agreements. What do you do as a Commercial Marketing Trainee?

The Commercial Traineeship is an intensive program lasting 1.5 to 2 years. You will be immersed in the Belsimpel culture and have the opportunity to collaborate with commercial professionals. We maintain vital partnerships with manufacturers and suppliers to coordinate commercial agreements, commissions, and budgets. Annually, hundreds of millions of euros worth of products are bought and sold, making the management of these partnerships crucial.

For example, we collaborate with major players such as Vodafone, Google, and KPN to close significant deals regarding marketing, sales, and subscriptions. In addition to our Dutch partners, we focus on expanding partnerships across Europe. We continue to innovate our platform by adding new categories, such as streaming services like Netflix and Viaplay, and marketing our software as a SaaS solution for providers worldwide. This traineeship offers you the chance to discover your talents in sales and client relations!

Trainee = Develop and Grow

Your development is central during the traineeship. You will start alongside a close-knit group of trainees with an intensive training program covering both personal and professional skills. You will follow masterclasses on smart working, presenting to external partners, and negotiation techniques—skills that will benefit you throughout your entire career.

Throughout the program, we maintain a continuous dialogue regarding your qualities and preferences. You will have weekly 1-on-1 meetings with your supervisor to discuss development points and commercial challenges. We help you grow in a unique way: from day one, you receive significant responsibilities—exactly as much as you can handle (and sometimes just a little bit more). You won't be alone; you will participate in intervision sessions with fellow trainees to learn from each other. Of course, there is also plenty of room for relaxation, such as team outings or our standard Friday afternoon drinks (VrijMiBo)!

After the Traineeship

As a Commercial Trainee, you carry great responsibility, as the budgets associated with these agreements are enormous. We expect you to become an expert in this field within two years. Because Gomibo handles everything—purchasing, sales, and marketing—in-house, communication lines are short. This allows you to quickly discover where your strengths lie. After the traineeship, we will determine your next step together. Possible roles include Strategic Partnerships & Sales Manager, Hardware Purchaser, or Provider Partnerships Manager!

Who are you?

  • You have a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree (WO/HBO), preferably in a commercial direction.

  • You are commercially minded, independent, and a strong communicator.

  • You are confident and do not shy away from negotiations or difficult conversations.

  • You are proactive with a hands-on mentality; you are happy to work strategically but also enjoy "getting your hands dirty" in the primary business process.

  • You are flexible and willing to travel for work once every two weeks (e.g., to the Randstad or abroad) for partner meetings.
