Hi!
My name is Mees Munneke and I will be the new Treasurer of the board of MARUG. I am a 20 year old student, currently in my second year of my bachelor business administration at the RUG.
Two years ago I decided that I wanted to leave my hometown Hilversum behind and move to Groningen. In my free time I like to play tennis and have fun with my friends. I enjoy having people around me and living a social life. They say 'nothing tops Groningen,' and for a student like me, the city's unmatched energy and charm prove that saying right every single day.
Even though I am in the middle of my bachelor's degree, I noticed I still had a considerable amount of free time left and was ready for the next step in my life. That’s why I decided to apply for the board of MARUG.
If I was going to challenge myself it had to be fun while simultaneously testing myself. Being part of the board was perfect since it offered both. I'm honored to take on the role of treasurer and can't wait to get started and meet the rest of the MARUG community.
