Conference Board

The MARUG Marketing Conference is the largest student marketing conference in the Netherlands, attracting around 400 students and business professionals annually. The event features lectures and workshops centered around a specific theme. Past themes include "The Jungle of Data," "Marketing 2020," "Co-Creation," "Authenticity," and "Transition of Tactics." Last year's theme was "The Era of Gen Z: Change of Consumer Behavior."

As a Conference Board member, you'll spend nearly a year organizing the conference. This provides an excellent opportunity to gain professional knowledge in event management and connect with interesting companies. The MARUG Conference is unique due to its relevant topics, high quality, and professional execution, and it's crucial to maintain these standards. The Conference Board typically dedicates 20-25 hours per week to organization, though this can vary by role and week. You'll commit extra time to final preparations in the last two months. This is a Dutch-speaking board. Organizing the MARUG Conference is a fantastic way to develop yourself, build professional event management skills, and connect with successful companies and their marketing departments.
