Commercial Night is an event focused on online advertising and television commercials. When you think of marketing, advertisements and commercials are often the first thing that comes to mind; this makes Commercial Night an ideal event to become familiar with marketing. The purpose of this event is to inform students about recent trends and developments in television and online advertising. Different interesting companies participate in this event and will explain their marketing in terms of brand strategies. The event consists of several speakers from different companies, each with an interesting perspective on commercials.
The last edition of the Commercial Night took place in 2019. In previous years, the event was not part of the MARUG agenda, but we are very proud to reintroduce this great event again. The theme of Commercial Night 2019 was “Phone Buzz: Pocket-sized marketing”. The companies Social Mensch, Catawiki and Harvest Digital gave interesting lectures about the theme. The chairman of the day that year was Maarten Gijsenberg, a popular professor from the Marketing Department. It was a wonderful day.
This year the event will take place on 22 September 2022. The theme and location will be announced soon.
